Age & Brown Spots
Age spots and sun spots are brown marks that appear on the skin as a result of time and sunlight. These commonly occur in sun-exposed areas of the body such as the face, neck, chest, arms, and hands. However, not every brown spot is harmless. If a brown spot is irregular, new or otherwise suspicious, an exam by a physician is appropriate. Fortunately, treatment for benign age spots is usually very successful.
